It brings me such Joy to transmit the delightful Oversoul of Hummingbird, to intimately weave its essence into your heart, and allow it to serve you, as it longs to, with its angelic medicine!
There is something quite beautifully mysterious about Hummingbirds. The way they suddenly appear out of nowhere, their wings flapping with electric speed while the rest of their body remains almost still, floating, hovering in one spot, awing us with their shimmering iridescent presence. And then, in a flash, they’re gone! And we may not see another for a year, which only adds to their mystique.
Hummingbirds are high frequency creatures who teach so much and carry vital soul medicine. One of the things you may know about them is that they embody a vast array of stunning colours, charming us in spectrum and sheen. Along with the spirited nature of their sudden movements, their appearance demonstrates a dynamic, vibrant aliveness. They invite us to remember the infinite colours making up our multi-dimensional Rainbow Soul, and to boldly and beautifully display this immanence.
In this ceremony, Hummingbird comes to heal aspects of yourself kept hidden in the shadows of fear and shame. Its ancient medicine supports you to redeem colour in all parts, no matter how darkened and pained they’ve become, and to know yourself as inherently and resplendently beautiful.
Truly, Hummingbird wants you to remember your true colours, the divine spectrum of iridescence you are, without end.
Indeed, from its high frequency, spirited nature, Hummingbird longs that you embody your own Higher Spirited Nature as well, in wondrous ways, as the mystery you are. Along with helping you remember your colourful Soul, it comes in this ceremony to activate your Angel wings. Those tiny riveting wings dancing in the air symbolically mirror your own Angel wings that long to find their unique electric skydance.
As a child, and through many lifetimes, you learned to tuck them away and forget your soulful nature and thus wings, and therefore your divine power. This protected you from standing out too much and dreaming too big, from living in “unacceptable” ways. Being less angelic, and more black-and-white (serious, practical, responsible, agreeable, vigilant) — more “tucked away,” were survival adaptations, movements towards safety and ways of mitigating hurt.
Part of our journey of empowerment is re-activating our Angel wings from our heart-centre, the location from which they gloriously spread out. As they safely reveal themselves, our back finally relaxes and Sacred Heart opens, which can heal issues in both areas. There is a message here: That to fly as the Angels we are, we must courageously reveal and share our Sacred Heart.

Hummingbirds naturally and dutifully share their hearts in flights of oft-unheralded service. Like Bees and Butterflies, they pollinate our plants. In fact, they are considered the principal bird in North America in this vital work. Using their bill and even feathers, they pollinate approximately 8000 types of plants in North and South America, supporting these plants to make seeds and reproduce. To put their great acts of service in another perspective, of the countless species of flowers on the planet, over 80% of them require some sort of pollination.
