Can You Be Here In The Emptiness?

Can You Be Here In The Emptiness?

From Wild Empty Spaces ~ Poems for the Opening Heart

Can you be here in the emptiness?

Where the heart is open
And the mind is clear
The body wants nothing
And you’re open to hear
A sound in the wind
A brush of a tree
The storm of the night
The voice beyond the dream

Can you be here in the emptiness?

Where over the days
And over the years
It’s been calling to you
Beyond your fears
Come back to this moment
Come back right now
Come back from your dream
It’s here life is found

Can you be here in the emptiness?

Where you stop searching
And finally let go
Of all your ambitions
And all you think you know
Of what you’ve sought after
And what you thought true
Of everything you are
And everything you do
There’s nothing more
For you here now
There’s nothing left to seek
All around

Can you be here in the emptiness?

Leaving the dream
Is all you’ve had to do
To let go of it all
And remember your truth

You are nothing more
Than endless love
An infinite spec
Of timeless love
A drop of water
And a pool of light
A powerful presence
That shines so bright
A loving heart
An open mind
A beautiful gift
For all to find

My gift to you
Is for you to know
There’s nothing to do
And no where to go
It’s all in your heart
Just let it come through
Your truth, your joy
The love that is you

Can you be here in the emptiness?
